At the end of August every year, it's time to come and brag about all the great trophies you have bagged throughout the year. The Executive Trophy Measurement Competition is an event that has been held every year since the inception of BJV in 1969 and has already become a tradition that few trophy hunters miss. In addition to the first places achieved for each species, there is also a Grand Champion and Domestic Champion who are selected annually.

Also a Junior Hunter of the Year and it is also looked at which trophy achieved first place as "Closest to the world record". There is also an annual competition for the trophy for the branch that did best in the competition. Just remember that if you want to participate in this competition, there are a set of rules that must be followed carefully. So your paperwork should be right, i.e. permits, permits, etc., and there are also

a requirement that your trophies be clean and odor-free and not be mounted. Please download the PDF file "Trophy Measurement Rules" listed on this website, and make sure you study all of these rules before signing up. When any of your trophies measure greater than the required minimum for the SA Record Book, you can apply for your trophy to be included in the record book - download the PDF form at the bottom of this page and print it out so that you can complete and submit the form . You can also go to Links / Links elsewhere on this website on the SA Record Book's web page to view the record trophies. Any inquiries can be directed to the Chief Trophy Measuring Officer
